Every marketer was trained on the same machine. Fill the calendar, hit every channel, build the full-funnel plan, and make sure the deck covers paid, earned, owned, influencer, retail, PR, partnerships, CRM, social, community and at least one stunt moment. For a long time that looked like sophistication.

It was mostly built to look good in a leadership meeting. At KORA the honest answer took four months of analytics: almost everything looked busy, and only a few things moved. The winning formula turned out to be narrow, long-form founder storytelling aimed at the wellness consumer rather than the beauty consumer. A declining DTC business went to over 30% growth in six months.

The 360 wheel is not dead because channels stopped mattering. It is dead because treating every channel as equally important no longer works.

Working mothers are told two lies. That a full-time career and full presence at home cannot coexist. And that any attention given to children, home or health makes you worth less at work. Neither is true, but hear a lie often enough and you start organising your life around it.

Then comes the second layer, the lies told back. The dentist appointment that is really homework. The conflict that is really the gym. Not dishonesty, but the learned belief that the truth of a full life reads as a lack of commitment.

Motherhood does not make women weaker leaders. It forces prioritisation, and it builds stamina, judgement and the ability to make twenty-five decisions before eight in the morning. The workplace was simply never built to hold a whole person.
